The Girlfriends

The Story That Changed Everything

What happens when your personal story reaches millions? For Carole, a podcast about her experience with a former romantic partner connected to a horrific murder became an unexpected catalyst for change. When “The Girlfriends” launched, Carole thought maybe a thousand people would hear her story. Instead, millions tuned in, making it one of the hottest podcasts in recent years.

While the show tells a captivating true-crime story, Carole sees it as a powerful demonstration of what happens when we face hard truths and lead with authenticity. It’s not just about the story – it’s about what becomes possible when leaders aren’t afraid to be real.

Hi I'm

Carole Fisher

I’ve never done anything the conventional way.

I dropped out of high school, came from a family that lost it all, and built my career by refusing to follow the standard playbook. While others focused on credentials, I focused on creating impact. While others hid their struggles, I learned that authenticity was my greatest asset.

That philosophy led me to transform organizations into “Best Places to Work” and build teams where people felt safe bringing their whole selves to work. But it wasn’t until my personal life unexpectedly became public through “The Girlfriends” podcast that I truly understood the power of owning your story.

My first instinct was to step down from my leadership role, convinced my personal challenges would undermine everything I’d built. Instead, that vulnerability opened new doors, showing me that our greatest challenges often become our biggest opportunities.

Today, I help leaders understand that you don’t have to edit your story to be successful. My mission is simple: showing leaders how to transform their challenges into their competitive edge. Because exceptional leadership isn’t about being perfect – it’s about being real.
